Another charity, this time animals!

Save the kiwi...go to the website...
and check this very sad animation too:

Well, made me sad anyway...
(Good work!:))

First photospheres, now photosquares?

Oh well, just when I had this conversation with M. - a photographer who is my newest source of inspiration (his print is standing by my mirror, just opposite my bed, so I can meditate the beauty of the Scottish shores and sea in general!) - about photospheres (wrote about it here) I came across Brent Townshend and his brilliant photos!

He did a few of Oxford and I wonder - how long does it take to make one?!
Those pictures can make miracles, so I advise you all to check them out. He uploaded them to Google photo sharing site, Panoramio, which looks fun as it is.

With his works on it, it is even better!

Girl With a One Track Mind

Before I try to relate to all the Hungarian and Polish reviews of the book, let me share with you my personal experience of reading the book...

Shortly: it put me back to my place, it opened the long forgotten emotional sensors. Actually reading it came together with both my exhibitions and the full set of amazing experiences (feedback from all the viewers, newly met artist fellows, lovely atmosphere of two last weekends - one with and one without my son, perfect weather and non-commercial relaxed life filling me up with new ideas for next year) closed the chapter of my sad marriage, brought back the old me who trusts the beauty of the world and the craziness of human kind.
Once again, I know who I want to be. I know what I want. I choose the people I want to be friends with. I ignore the assholes/lesses. I have re-discovered the inner source of energy and feel I can do so much more!

Abby Lee's book gave only the ground of openness and sensuality for all those re-discoveries, still - without the book I would most probably move over the beautiful moments without even noticing them. And believe me, only 0.01% of them was connected to sexuality as such!

Well done, impressively honest and well written!

SeaLand 2

I need to learn to love my pictures just as J. loves his paintings - with passion, with maternal love, with obligation and with sacrifice...I am sending them now to get them developed and as I work out the framing I start to see what has become of them. I was making them just to keep the moments alive - like a way of writing them down, a diary of new kind.
Today they seem to exist on their own.
I have given away all pictures form my first exhibition and I hear lovely stories about their present owners. Jack is happier whenever he looks at 'Rage', Anna's only flowers in her tiny room currently are 'Tulips', I see 'Corruption' still on Klara's shelf every time I visit her.
I am happy they have found new homes. And even though I am just as flexible about my work as any other blogger, I do find some printouts magical - simply because they carry a story - each one of them a different message and different past, presence and future.'A rose is a rose is a rose'  - quoting someone great and famous;)

Somerset House, London

Brilliant collection of classics, impressionists and post-impressionists amongst them! Small, but extremely intense; offers fans of Van Gogh,

Renoir, Monet and Kandinsky extraordinary moments. Today I saw the courtyard in rain...

..but I will be back soon to enjoy the sunshine there as well.

Beauty of dreams..

I have just noticed that a good friend of mine drew a new picture - have a look!

I find all my dreams in it, and I hope to see her soon to talk about it. I am amazed by the beauty some of us can create! Amazed!...

Very funny

How far do we go with art? Or is it just an ordinary idea this person had while having breakfast toast?

Let's see more...

Flowers

I am fed up with buying flowers, now it's time to receive them. It's not good....not a good sign..first time in my life I became distant from them...I even forced myself to go to the shop and buy one...one I have studied since about a week...I had it in my basket! And couldn't! I could not force myself to buy it and take it home...and I think it is more about taking it and bringing it home, where there is no place for flowers at the moment - not in my spaces....silly, I know. Well, that is me, my nature - lost in details like this, managing in her 'big issues' and completely disabled when it comes to the details of every-day life. I hope I can see flowers like Georgia did - I hope I will see and recreate the world the way she did - once, one day, in Mexico;)

'Nobody sees a flower, really, it is so small. We haven't time - and to see takes time like to have a friend takes time.

If I could paint the flower exactly as I see it no one would see what I see because I would paint it small like the flower is small. So I said to myself - I'll paint what I see - what the flower is to me but I'll paint it big and they will be surprised into taking time to look at it - I will make even busy New Yorkers take time to see what I see of flowers.

...Well, I made you take time to look at what I saw and when you took time to really notice my flower you hung all your own associations with flowers on my flower and you write about my flower as if I think and see what you think and see of the flower - and I don't.'
- Georgia O'Keeffe
